Same story. I now tell all my friends to get tested.

At 73, my father had cancer of prostate, Family history adds weight to your own story. I start SBRT Radiation, Jan 25, 5 treatments vs 5 weeks for the longer version. Scared an hope RICK S., was glad your surgery went great . We enjoy your reviews. My psa has been floating in my 50s and 60s, 5.6,6 and then a 9. Moffitt in Tampa is where I'm having treatment done. 2 prep routines are done prior. I read so many stories of the side affects of surgery. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

I've carefully monitored my psa starting in my 30's. In my late 50's I had an 18 needle biopsy-negative. 5 years later with psa 6.5 another biopsy was positive. Had a prostatectomy with no problems. Men do not have a support system like women. We support the Cruisin for a Cure cars show in California and the Strawberry Charity Cruise In in Portland.

Don't sugarcoat cancer! It's not a journey. It's a rabbit hole.
