Gregg Allman
The lead singer of the Allman Brothers Band learned he had chronic hepatitis C after his doctor discovered spots on his liver in 1999. He believed he contracted the virus from a tattoo needle in his 20s. In 2010, Allman underwent a liver transplant because the spots had turned into tumors. He died of liver cancer complications on May 27, 2017.
